Retail, Mixed use

Lisburn Square, Northern Ireland

Built in 2003, Lisburn Square is a mixed-use scheme located in the heart of Lisburn city centre, Northern Ireland’s third-largest city.

It provides 29 shops and restaurants around a central piazza with a conservatory-style building at its heart. There are five office suites above the shops, 45 apartments and a 210-space basement car park. There are seven new apartments reaching practical completion and further apartments are planned.

MARCOL is building on the existing piazza-style design and transforming the offering at Lisburn Square to re-establish the scheme as an integral part of the city centre and as a quality retail and leisure destination.

Lisburn Square is set to become a key retail destination for the city and wider catchment area, offering a broad tenant mix including fashion, catering, lifestyle, health and beauty, as well as general business use. MARCOL’s continuing strategy will provide opportunities for improved engagement with the citizens of Lisburn, as well as local stakeholders.

The location, linking Bow Street – which hosts many popular high-street retail names including Tesco, Boots, Café Nero and Superdrug – with the market square, means footfall is already incredibly high in this area. The aim is to complement this, creating a must-visit destination that will work cohesively with the existing retailer provision in the city.
