MARCOL Industrial kicks on with expansion plans

Mike Forster has joined MARCOL Industrial as Development Director. Previously UK Managing Director of P3 Parks, Mike will be driving the delivery of MARCOL’s 1,000 acre UK development pipeline working closely with Nigel Lax and Stephen Lawrence, who founded Industrial Securities with the backing of Terence Cole and Mark Steinberg’s MARCOL in 1995. In Europe, Industrial Securities has over €300 million of industrial assets under management and became active again in the UK in 2011.

Forster has been involved in logistics development across Europe for over 25 years, holding senior roles at ICI Estates; Valad and Burford Group.

MARCOL Industrial has a substantial strategic landbank in the UK including emerging schemes at East Works in Bristol, Tudor Cross in Bolsover and Unity in Doncaster, which will deliver prime logistics development within larger mixed use schemes.

MARCOL’s aim is to significantly increase the pipeline with similar strategic development land, focused on logistic development often with a mixed use element.

“Mike`s vast experience in securing and delivering large scale logistic developments from “cradle to grave” is what we need to help us fulfil our objective of scaling up the business for the next cycle” said Nigel Lax “We see our niche as bringing forward more complex sites, often with partners, that are not necessarily oven ready and where our skills and nimble approach can add value”.
